About

Originally this blog was just a play thing, a pastime.  Later it became a social gateway, an emotional outlet and cheap therapy.  After that it started to become a chore.  As time went on it became warped and twisted.  There were times it was neglected, only to be caught up at a later date, only to be neglected again.

Then in October of 2010 my veil of anonymity was stripped away.  Then H&A went stagnant.  A short time later I announced that I was all but closing the doors here at H&A, and that would have been the end of the story if not for what I would later consider to be “a series of fortunate events”.

It was the first week of February 2011, when thanks to the technological miracle that is the internet, by way of Facebook, I was reunited with a good friend (more about my friend) from high school.  After school, life had taken us in different directions.  It had been over 20 years since we last spoke.  There was lots of catching up to do.

We talked about our families, our jobs, the good old days, the not so good old days, the different paths that life had presented to us.  Somewhere along the way my friend less than briefly mentioned joining a movement.  I asked that the name of the movement be repeated, and then we were back to reminiscing.  I couldn’t believe we were talking after all these years.

Later that night while surfing the web I went about looking into this oddly named movement.  I didn’t get the spelling right at first, but it wasn’t long before I found a treasure trove of info that would more that quench my curiosity.  Thanks to a slow internet connection and a job on the road, it took me weeks to go through all this info, but that was alright with me; I was hooked.

Life was good.  I had been reunited with a long lost friend, and thanks to said friend I had been introduced to something that would fill in the potholes and cracks in my life.  I was so excited and happy; I had to share this new found info with others, but out on the road that is easier said than done.

I know!  This is right up one of my old bloggin’ bud’s alley.  We had been playing email tag for a while, and this was the perfect excuse to fire off a new email and say “tag, you’re it”.  This led to a whole new game of tag that is still going on at this time (05/09/2011).  The last email that I received suggested that I do a post on the subject at hand.  Said subject was but a sliver of the whole, so what I had in mind was an entirely new blog.

After some time and thought I decided to use my old blog, Hate And Anger.  Well the title is the furthest from what this blog will be about, but originally the title fit me to a “T”.  Well this blog is still going to be about me, the further adventures of me, 😛 and I just couldn’t see letting my old friend go, but I could see letting it grow and change, as have I.

So, after 1,00o+ posts, 3,000+ comments, 3,000+ images and over 1,000,000 visitors I started a total renovation on 05/05/2011.  And there you have it, the rebirth of H&A HTnD.  I hope you enjoy, learn and share somethings along the way. 😉

    Hello Peter! I followed you here (Whoa… sounds a little stalkerish, doesn’t it?) from Moonbeam’s blog. So happy to have found you and I’m looking forward to reading more posts.

    I’m dusting off an old “social commentary” blogspot [Seriously Annie] that’s been stagnant and set on private for some time and would like to add your blog to my future blogroll. (Thought I’d get it all set up today, but today has turned out to be a lousy day for setting up a blog AND for writing.) So, I’m on my way to clean out the garage instead, but wanted to drop in to say … great job on this blog and I’ll keep you “posted.” 🙂

    Howdy Ann! I could totally use a stalker. 😛 Thanks for all the kind words and I look forward to seeing your blog fully operational. I’m constantly stressing over mine, because I work out on the road, and I can’t give it near the time and attention I would like. The world is a hotbed of activity right now and I feel like I’m missing it all. I’m an upwardly mobile wage slave who gets to see the world, but not actually take part in it. 😐 I’ll be waiting for your green light. 😉

    Perhaps you would like to add this to your collection of quotes?

    “First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out–
    because I was not a communist;
    Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out–
    because I was not a socialist;
    Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out–
    because I was not a trade unionist;
    Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out–
    because I was not a Jew;
    Then they came for me–
    and there was no one left to speak out for me.” – Martin Niemoller

    First They Came… 😉 A great one, no doubt. 🙂

    inventive is synonymous to original, as creative is to innovative and more, i think you deserve to be cited and awarded at http://kintal.wordpress.com/?p=2638. Merry Christmas 🙂

    Congratulations on receiving The Inventive Blogger award. Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner. I’ve been keeping myself busy as usual. Thank you for thinking of “Ha! Tea ‘n’ Danger” in regards to this award. It’s always a pleasure seeing your beautiful smile around HTnD, and extra special this time around. It was a rough day for me and your little note came at the perfect time; it warmed my heart. Thanks again.
