Weights And Dates

I’ve been promising an update for quite some time and finally, here it is.  I’ve also got the go-ahead from my wife to post her info too.  It’s been an up and down battle, but we aren’t giving up.  We’re in this for the long haul.

First a little background info.  My wife was born in 1969 and she is 5′-3″.  I was born in 1971 and I’m 6′-3″.  We started this diet on March 6th, 2008.

While we’ve both put on a little weight since our April 24th weigh in, we’re still down from our starting weight.  Bunny is down 9 lbs. and I am down 15 lbs.  Not bad for two months, but we could both be further along with our weight loss.  There has been a lot of cheating/treating along the way, and we tend to go wild while we’re home or visiting my dad in Florida.

The dates that are about a week apart or less are the periods of time we were off, the first showing what we weighed when our days off started, and the following showing what we weighed when we got back on the road.

Anyway, there you have it.  I’ll try to keep this updated on a more regular basis, oh say, after every time we’re off I’ll do an update once we’re back on the road.

I didn’t include much detail in this post so if you have any questions or comments bring ‘em on. ;)

Congrats to Bunny! It will always drive you nuts to try to lose weight side by side with a man. Damn muscle metabolism makes them shed it waaay faster. I don’t know how you’re doing it on the road, with all the obstacles (fast food, no time to exercise, exhaustion). Good for both of you!

Bunny says thanks as do I. And actually it’s Bunny that usually loses the weight faster than me. I’ve just been trying extra hard (sometimes), staying stricter to the diet and eating less. If we both follow our diet 100%, and if we both eat the same amount of food, she’ll loses more weight than me. I don’t get it either. Chaps my hide. Oh well. :) I would almost think you used to be a trucker, the way you described the obstacles we are facing. It’s not easy, but we make the best of it. ;)

Congratulations to both you guys. We all know, I know how hard it is. Every day is a struggle to not eat some damn thing I know I shouldn’t be eating and to not eat too much of what I should be eating.

It must be excessively more difficult to do it on the road. At least I’m home and can cook.

I think posting it on your blog is a good idea. It has helped me to admit to myself that –Hey girl, you’re fat, get off your ass and do something about it.

Both at home and on the road present their own difficulties. Bottom line, it isn’t easy anywhere. ;) Of course if were stationary all the time that would make it easier. Perhaps I’ll discuss some of our techniques in the next update. :) Until then, the battle wages on. :P

P.S. My dad called my mom, “Bunny”. Evidentially, she use to wear some bunny slippers when they were first married and that’s where it all started. Now, we call her Bun, Bunster, and Grandma Buns. Or Granny Bun. That’s how my kids have always known her!

That is just so wrong. ;) “If you don’t share your cookies with me, I’m telling the Bunster” hahaha. :P Actually there’s no story behind my wife being called Bunny. Just something she grabbed out of thin air. “If your name is Peter, then my name will be Bunny” or something like that. :)
