5 Things Found In Your Bag:

Some folks started their post with a picture of their purse.  Well I don’t carry a purse, but I do carry a wallet, but that didn’t seem very interesting at all.  My wife and I do have what we refer to as The Man Bag.  It was originally bought for work purposes, but later became obsolete in that department.  It was later given a new lease on life, and below are five things found in said man bag.

#1) The white rectangle is my wifes computer.  #2) The tangled up green noodle is a pair of headphones we purchased at the dollar store.  They come in handy when we are at one of our yards.  #3) The cellphone looking thing in the bottom right hand corner is our AT&T air card.  It brings us both hours of entertainment and hours of frustration when it’s not working properly.  #4) A number 2 pencil, because you never know when you might have to take a test.  #5) In the bottom left hand corner is an angel key chain that Bunny’s mom gave her way back when we first started our trucking adventures.

5 Favorite Things In Your Room:

#1) The first season of Heroes.  I bought these dvd’s a while back while my mom was in the hospital.  We watched five of the seven discs during my visits with her there.  We watched the last two discs together during my last to visits home in Arizona.  She really enjoyed them and is greatly anticipating the release of season 2.  I am too.  Heroes is the coolest show ever.

#2) This is a big butcher knife my granny gave me back in 1999 shortly before she died.  It’s about 17 and a half inches long and the blade is a tad over two and a quarter inches wide.  It spends most of its time in a drawer, waiting for that special someone in need of being chopped into little pieces.  Actually my granny sold it to me for a penny.  Something about it being bad luck to give away knives.  Any of you ever heard of such a thing?

#3) This snake bottle is about 45″ tall and inside is the original contents.  I believe it’s whiskey, and no, it’s never been opened.  My granny also gave me this.  No penny this time. ;) It used to belong to my grandpa.  It was a Christmas present he received back in the early to mid 70’s.  I was actually there (Illinois) that Christmas with my dad.  My grandpa is still alive, so I’m not sure why my granny ended up with it.  Maybe it was a gift to both of them.  In either case she gave it to me.  If he wants it back, too fuckin’ bad, it’s mine.

#4) I couldn’t pick just one, so here are some of my favorite toys, all of which I’ve picked up along the way, truckin’ across America.  There’s the Thing holding Spider-Man and Venom.  Luke Skywalker is just in front of them showing off his light saber skills.  And behind and to the right is the Mach 5, Speed Racer’s car.  I think I’m gonna have to unwrap it and take it for a spin.  I love that car. I’m starting to think I want to see the movie, Speed Racer, in the theater.  Still not sure though. :?

#5) This is a rock that has been in my family for over 30 years.  We’ve never actually had it checked out, so we’re not sure exactly what it is, but we all know what we think it is.  Well actually, I don’t think it is, but I can’t argue the fact that it looks an awful lot like a fossilized foot.  The left view of the rock looks like foot bones.  The right view looks like a foot print, with all five toes clearly visible.  Have a look for yourselves and let me know what you think.  I wouldn’t mind being wrong about it being a fossilized foot, but I just don’t think it’s very likely.  It measures about one and a half by three inches, so if it is a foot, it’s a very small foot.

Weights And Dates

I’ve been promising an update for quite some time and finally, here it is.  I’ve also got the go-ahead from my wife to post her info too.  It’s been an up and down battle, but we aren’t giving up.  We’re in this for the long haul.

First a little background info.  My wife was born in 1969 and she is 5′-3″.  I was born in 1971 and I’m 6′-3″.  We started this diet on March 6th, 2008.

May 3rd, 2008

Bunny Parkour: 189 lbs. (+1 lb.) :( Peter Parkour: 290 (+3 lbs.)

~

While we’ve both put on a little weight since our April 24th weigh in, we’re still down from our starting weight.  Bunny is down 9 lbs. and I am down 15 lbs.  Not bad for two months, but we could both be further along with our weight loss.  There has been a lot of cheating/treating along the way, and we tend to go wild while we’re home or visiting my dad in Florida.

The dates that are about a week apart or less are the periods of time we were off, the first showing what we weighed when our days off started, and the following showing what we weighed when we got back on the road.

Anyway, there you have it.  I’ll try to keep this updated on a more regular basis, oh say, after every time we’re off I’ll do an update once we’re back on the road.

I didn’t include much detail in this post so if you have any questions or comments bring ‘em on. ;)
