Hoping To Find A Few Nuggets

Recently over at Mark Alan’s blog, “Idle Ramblings Of A Slightly Mad Man“, Mark was working on posting a series of his “Best Of” posts.  Here is one of my favorites from said series.

I told Mark in the beginning that I thought doing such a posting was a great idea, and that I too had been toying with the idea of doing such a post myself.

After giving it some thought I decided I would end up making a page for my “best of” post.  That way when new readers come along, and I haven’t posted anything new for a while, there will still be some good reading just begging to be read. :P

PURE GOLD is the name of my new “best of” page.  Now all I have to do is stock it.  In order to do that I’m going to give you a list of posts to check out and hopefully give me some feedback on.  If you have a best of that isn’t in my list, by all means let me know and I’ll add it to the list.

I’m hoping to stock my PURE GOLD page with a handful of posts.  So, let me get this show started.  Here is my list to choose from.  Let me know which ones you like most, and which ones have not business in my PURE GOLD page. :)

    Alrighty, I’ve read through the first 6 and now I have to go to work. Blaaaah. Can’t you write an excuse for me so I can stay home and finish reading your posts? Gosh, where was I and why didn’t I catch most of these?

    I’d say the first 6 are definitely in. Your dad is a hoot, and your poor step sister playing grab ass with your dad…bwahahahahahaa. I was laughing my ass off first thing this morning. Thanks.

    But my favorite - “He loves eating cooter!” Oh.My.God. Now that is priceless!

    Had I been up sooner I definitely would have written you a note. I’m glad you’re enjoying my picks. :mrgreen:

    I like the idea of the Best Of page. I decided that I would post the Best of’s and then make the page after.

    I like the title of your page. I was going to go for just the boring “Best Of” title. Now you have me thinking about coming up with something catchy for it.

    Ugh! More work for me to do.

    But it is a labor of love, right. ;) Thanks for the props. :)

    I love the stories about your Dad. He sounds like a great guy. I also loved #1. Found out a lot more about you. My son was homeless for a while last summer but he had a van so he slept in that in the Walmart parking lot. If he becomes homeless again (which wouldn’t surprise me) I’ll suggest he sell blow pops. I didn’t know what they were and had to look them up and make sure it wasn’t some kind of drug. :-)

    If you give him the Blow Pop idea all you have to worry about is causing him to become a junk food junky. :P I think you could live with that. ;) I’ll try to keep the stories about my dad coming. He’s a huge inspiration to me in the writing department. :) He’s definitely a great guy, thanks.

    Love the title of your new best of page, “PURE GOLD” I am in the process of reading all your pages and will write “gold” at the bottom for a thumbs up! ;)
