Gary Indiana Still Sucks

We finally got our truck back around 3:00pm (local time), but it was already around the Wife’s usual time to stop driving, and I had yet to get any sleep, so we opted to spend one more night in Gary, so we could take off fresh in the morning.  Nearly three full days just to have two knobs (air supply knobs for the parking breaks) installed.  BRUTAL!  I can’t wait to get back on the road.  We need to hurry up and put a shit load of miles behind us to make up for all this down time.  If the wheels are turnin, we’re not earnin. ;)

Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know how the story ended.  I just wanted to know it ended.  I’m still gonna need another day before my head’s back on straight.  Take care everyone.  I’ll catch you later.  Happy hump day. :P

  1. I thought you were not going to post about Gary Indiana again. Damn it! Now that song is stuck in my head for another day!

What I meant was, I don’t plan on stopping in Gary ever again, if I can help it. Sorry to traumatize you again. ;)

  2. Whew! I am glad that explained about the two knobs you were getting.

Silly monkey. ;) Welcome back. I was starting to worry about you. I had planned on dropping you a line, buy you’ve saved me the trouble (no trouble).

  3. Do your knobs twist the right way now?

Glad your back on the road.

Micheal Jackson was raised in Gary Indiana. I googled it.

Me too, until I saw where they sent me. I just got done docking and my stomach is twisted, and my thigh is sore from working the clutch (nothing like a care clutch I assure you) so much. It was a very challenging feat, off a narrow road, with cars parked on both sides. It’s residential on one side of the street, and industrial on the other. I would have to say that this was one of the toughest, if not the toughest, dock I’ve had to hit thus far, and that was with the help of my wife outside helping out via walkie-talkie. Once we leave here I will be oooh sooo grateful to be back on the road, and far far from here. ;)

  4. Hey, how are you and the wife doing on the diet? I meant to ask….. Either way, you both rock! Be kind to yourselves! I feel like I’m spelling everything wrong tonight so if I am, please forgive…

We are both doing quite well thank you. I will be posting a full report soon. By the way, you passed the spelling test with an A+. ;)
