Answer 2 Valentine’s Day Chicken Massacre

February 18, 2008

If you haven’t read the riddle yet, you can find it here.

And now the moment you’ve all been waiting for:

  •  Answer: The commercial the woman had seen on TV was for Geek Squad, which is a subsidiary of Best Buy.  Well when it came time to call them she had it in her mind the store was Circuit City.  When she looking them up in the phone book she accidentally got the phone number for Circus City.  It just so happens that Circus City recently bought out Carnival City, which also included their infamous Geek Patrol.  So when the lady said she had a problem only their geeks could help with, there was no question as to the service she was in need of.  You see, before geeks were: a computer expert or enthusiast (a term of pride as self-reference, but often considered offensive when used by outsiders).  Long ago geeks are know as: a carnival performer who performs sensationally morbid or disgusting acts, as biting off the head of a live chicken.  Turns out the Volkswagon Bug the “geek” pulled up in belonged to the clown act, and just happened to resemble the Geek Squad mobile.  In the end, you guessed it, the geek bit the heads off of all her chickens.
