Even though my wife and I are in each other’s presence 24 hours a day, we miss each other. Most of the time she’s driving and I’m sleeping, or I’m driving and she’s sleeping. We’re trying out a new schedule where we’re on the road for approximately seven days, then take off 34 hours, then start the same process over again. We’re thinking breaking it up a big will make it more bearable.
It’s been a very busy week for us. I think work is starting to pick up again. The roads are starting to look a lot better too. Instead of snow and ice everywhere we go, it’s patches of snow, and melting ice everywhere we go. Rivers are starting to flow again. But it’s not all gone yet, and could return in the blink of an eye. I’ll be glad when all of the freezing weather is behind us. It makes for long hard hauls.
I’m still having trouble getting some images to load. I’m guessing it has something to do with my crappy connection. It’s really driving me nuts. I’ll keep trying. It’s bound to work sooner or later. With my luck it will surely be later.
Oh, it also just came to attention that my Crazy Pix were having some issues with their links. That problem has been corrected. Enjoy.
I really wish I had more time to spend working on my blog. I have so many ideas and plans, but it all takes time. I always feel pressed for time no matter how small the post might me. Oh well, just have to deal with what I have for now.
The End

My big red button up and died, and in it’s place Crazy Pix was born. I haven’t received any feedback in that department, and I was just wondering what everyone’s opinions were. Honesty is the best policy. By all means, even brutally honest is acceptable. Is it too much, too little, funny, just plain wrong, what???

Some day her prince will come.
Until then she’ll have to take care of business herself.
What?
Did you think she was gonna depend on seven dwarves?
For shame.

The following questions landed in my mail bag four days ago. Sorry I didn’t get to you sooner. Let’s do this:
Is it frustrating when you are rolling down the road with a full load and someone pulls out on you doing 20 miles an hour? Oh, and do you watch “ice road trucker” intense reality man!
YES! It is very frustrating when someone pulls out in front of me, whether loaded down or not. It’s actually worse if I’m not loaded down, or bob-tailing, as I detail here in a previous post.
This usually isn’t a problem in the city, because I’m usually going slower than traffic, looking for an address to drop/pick up my load. I’m always on the look out for someone that might pull out on me, and I do my best to keep a safe following distance when going with the flow of traffic.
On the highway is where it’s the worst. You’re moving much faster, and that 20 mph slow poke has gone from an in town nuisance to a full on hazard.
My wife actually had someone pop out of the median of the highway, where they shouldn’t have been in the first place, and they didn’t even look our way. They skipped right past the left lane where there was no traffic at the time, and right into our lane, right in front of us. She only had time to lock up the breaks. Luckily nothing came of the incident other than a couple of angry truck drivers talking shit about that guy for the next 100 miles.
Had that happened in town said driver would have received a blast from the air horn, but in this case the air horn was an after thought. We had to settle for cussing and one finger salutes.
As for the “Ice Road Trucker” no, never watched it, but I’ll keep my eye out for it next time I have some down time. Since starting this job I watch little to no TV any more. Most of my extra curricular entertainment now days comes from the computer, writing these post, answering your questions, and in turn reading your posts.
There’s one more question in my mail bag, but it’s a bit more of a technical question or sorts. I’m hoping for 34 hours of down time in Florida soon, and I plan on answering it then. Thanks for the questions guys.

People search for the darndest things.
In this case it would appear they were searching
for large breasted Christian girls with no arms.

To get the full story start here.
The following images are the gun shot wounds my niece received on 02/09/08. The first picture is upside down. Sorry I didn’t take the time to flip it over. I was having such a hard time uploading these pics that I was just happy to get it on here at all.
The first picture is where the first bullet entered. These are all pictures she took herself with her cell phone, so that’s why the quality is what it is. The second image is where the first bullet exited. The third picture is where the second bullet exited. She didn’t have a picture of where the second bullet entered due to it’s location being difficult for her to take a picture of on her own.

Lots of bruising and lots of staples. My poor baby girl. I need to give her a call tomorrow and check in on her. I was so ready to quit my job after hearing what happened to her. The hardest part of being a trucker is being away from your loved ones. Usually its just the good times you wish you were there for, but when bad times come along you wish you were home even more. In that very moment I heard about my niece, my dream job became a nightmare.
