H&A Family Tree: Chapter I: Sky Windows

The following bloggers and their sites are the foundation and roots to my blog, and this is my way of saying thanks:

Sky Windows @ Sky Windows: She was my gateway and ambassador to the Blogosphere. Sky was a friend of mine back in high school. I only knew her for one school year, because the following year she was MIA. None of her friends knew what happened to her. She must have moved away.

Almost twenty years later I run into her profile on a popular networking site. In disbelief I quickly e-mailed her to say “hi, remember me”, and amazingly she did. Something else I noticed on her profile was an address to her blog. It was the first blog I ever read.

Sky started her blog after her daughter was diagnosed with cancer, and she dedicated the blog to her. I found her blog heart warming, educational, entertaining, and fun. I was hooked. “I gotta get me one of these”. I started up my own blog, fumbling my way along. When ever I hit a roadblock I would turn to Sky. Between her pointers, reading the FAQ page, and reading other blogs, my blog has steadily grown.

In my opinion December was Sky’s month to shine. She wrote some really great posts. Some of my favorites were: “Dear Santa“, “What Does Santa Do At Your House“, and “The Crippled Lamb“. They’re all Christmas related, but worth reading even in late January.
